Hey guys just asking for a mate.
Is there any info about purchasing a body lift for newer generation of outback and foresters? Are they even available because I know many lift kitplaces are no more now.
Also if anyone could link me to good examples of these done up subies that'd be great.
Cheers

Mate, i have just done the springs in my 05 foz, and i have been quoted from jeff for the body lift, just need the money to get it now, it is alot harder with newer ones/ mine anyway, because the gear sticks are alot smaller and ofcoarse when you do a body lift, it keeps the box and the stearing arm in the same place, i have to get mine extended, i am in the process when i get it back to see if my stearing arm is extendable or not.( hope it is), and you have to be weiry of all the cv joints and what not, keep them well lubricated just so that.
i dont know if any of this will help or not, but yeh. i have a post if you wanna look at mine, bare in mind it only has the springs gone so far.
Cheers Mike

Brett from BYB has done his Gen4 wagon. There's a pic of it on the BYB website somewhere.

I think Brett said that the later models, Gen3 and 4 Liberty/Outback, and the latest Forester and Impreza are harder because they have a multilink rear suspension setup, as opposed to strut and control arms like earlier models.

Yeah.. anything is possible. See if your friend want's to come down to the workshop and put it on the hoist and we'll see what's needed to be done?

Well he is just looking at buying one for beachwork and I'd say lift would be essential to get to some of the surf spots

I have 2" strut top mount lift with 2" drop mounts on the front of the rear trailing arms.
From this....................
To this.............
I've removed the rear sway bar completely and don't miss it one bit.
Rides great and tracks true and was worth the effort, made a huge improvement in approach/break over/departure angles.
Being a Yank had to make it myself because we don't have ANY off road aftermarket for Subaru's whatsoever.
