Hey all, as a result of my lift kit, the engine driven fan hangs about 1.5" under the level of the front bar. And therfore isn't achieving optimum cooling capacity.

So i have bought a 10" davies craig fan, ($75, cheers to ebay;)) and i was wondering if the factory wiring set-up to the A/C fan would be tough enough to withstand the extra load if i was to wire the new one into it. or would it overload and catch on fire?

Anyone done this? pls help.

look at the load of the original fans, they might be exactly the same

so, i got the kit and it had a mini-loom with a relay and a fuse and the likes. so i connected the appropriate wires from the fan to the relay (black n blue), then the main power to the relay i scotch-locked into the power supply to the A/C fan (red), thinking that it could only turn on when the A/C fan was, but i got nothing. i checked the earth and fuse, they were fine. The fifth wire from the relay (green) was intended for the A/C clutch, i supplied it power and the fan works, but 100% of the time.

Anyone got any ideas? im stuck.
