Hello,

I'm a newbie to this forum (and various others) , but have been around USMB for a few years!

I'm in Moab, Utah, USA and currently have an OB strut-lifted '95 Legacy (liberty?) 5MT, a FOR strut-lifted 93 Impreza (4EAT), and a revived '80 brat (brumby?)...

I've been trying to sell thebrat for a few years here, unfortunately not a lot of interest :(

AND I've started looking to fill my interest in a gen 1 FOR D/R AWD tranny from down under...

FYI, http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=108834

Ciao, cheers, hasta, catch ya later!

A big thanks thusfar to Taza for is help with my DR EJ 5MT search!!

The beast is found, sourced, acquired, purchased and being cleaned for x-port up over. We're in the throws of figuring out shipping, but it looks like this guy's going to have his LOOOONG sought after DR EJ 5MT, gen 1 fozzie yo!!

I thought I'd drop in a couple recent videos for fun

Good work, love the sig picture too!

Hey Taza - clear out your inbox!

Quick question - what year forester did you pull that suparu's new gearbox from? 4.11 final drive D/R with a 1.44 reduction gear?

Any idea what the transmission code is?

Cheers mate!

Owen.

Taza said it was a '98 and the tranny code SD-TY753WR1AA
yes, 4.11 FD and 1.447:1 low range.
As I understand all gen 1 fozzies (97-01 Down Under) had that low range rediction, they changed it to 1.19:1 in 02 and newer, but all (NA EJ20) Fozzies are 4.11 FD

97-02 (mid year then changed to 2nd gen).

Im happy to help out  Its a great box for stock, the same as whats in my foz. My only issue is lack of power from the EJ20 but it does the job for the time being ;)

I've never done one, but if a member would like to donate me a CLSD I'd be happy to rebuild it and put it in the back of Ruby Scoo.

I could've had one for nix if I had've called the guy earlier - there was an RX going for free or it was to the tip otherwise. Missed out due to work and forgetting to call the guy. It would have been a mission though. A little pissed but kind of happy as it allows a weekend of other work on Ruby Scoo

The thought of having that LSD has made me realise how much I would love to have one in the back of RS!

Cheers

Bennie
