Hi folks, with the weather as it has been here in melbourne I figured it was a good chance for me to get aquainted with Google SketchUp. I've attached 2 pics of my first real go at designing something with this programme and I think it gives a pretty good idea of what I'm aiming for.






The basic replacement bar idea is done, now I have to figure out how I'm going to draw the swing arm assembly. That'll happen later as now I'm off to the wreckers in search of a CV retainer clip and design mounts for my bull bar

PS. These photos are downloaded from facebook - if you right click on the photo you want to use and select 'copy image location' then you just paste it into the 'insert image' button

Did you get lucky with your CV circlip? I had quite a lot of experience with them, if you need a hand on Saturday...

mate thats great but its not even going to come close to bolting up to your car.

I realise you are just drawing concepts at the moment, but you need to take your rear bar off and have a look before you get too carried away. You really cant do much with a lib to gain more ground clearance. the bumper is not the problem, the rear body work hangs down really low.
