Outback Front Suspension

My 97 Outback is starting to feel a bit worse for wear over the last year or so and I've decided to take care of a few issues that probably need some attention. Biggest concern is a noise in the font suspension best described as a bump or clunking kind of sound when you move over say a small pot hole or bump in the road. Intend to take the car to a suspension expert this week but thought I'd pick a few brains to see what responses I get to compare with the suspension shops verdict. So what might the most likely cause be if you've experienced something similar with your vehicle at some time in the past?

Rear of the front control arm bushes.
Steering rack bushes.
Tie rods.
Rack ends.
Ball joints.
Strut tops.
Sway bar "D" bushes.
Sway bar end links.

Common problem with high mileage subaru is the rear control arm bushes, mine is making creaking/knocking noises, it has new suspensions fitted but the noises is still there. Costs $145 each after market.
