G'day all!

While in San Francisco catching up with an old friend I found out that there are saabs cruising around that are actually a subaru liberty under the bonnet. Does anyone know much about this? One of my mates on facebook put me straight with a link about it, I haven't checked it out yet but I'll post it later. Here's a pic:

And here's me trying to find the steering wheel when I got in the passenger's seat - it was a natural impulse I swear!

My mate is in a subaru family and the reason for the saab subi was that it turned out cheaper to get the subi saab than it was to get the equilivant subi at the time.

Cheers

Bennie

The Tribeca was also going to be a SAAB too, before the whole GM/SAAB deal went south... At least for Subaru.

There is some suggestion the current facelifted Tribeca was how the SAAB was meant to look before the plug was pulled.

The photos are the SAAB 9-2 just for the US market based on the Impreza. Subaru was not very happy about supplying the turbo engine!

Yeah mate! You wouldn't believe what we've seen while over here! Yesterday we saw one of those big chev pick up trucks with some frame work off the right side of the vehicle that had some lenghts of steel tied to it. The framework probabily added another foot to the width of the already wide vehicle - and the driver had no visual reference to it!

We've seen an SUV that would've been as tall as two of our corolla hire cars stacked on top of each other! I wouldn't have wanted to be in it while taking a high speed corner as it looked like it'd just roll over...

I'm trying to get some pics from my imageshack account but it looks like I'm having some more login issues

Later ;)

Cheers
