hey:cool:,
i was thinking of buying "stamp_licker's" 4" lift kit thats in the classified section. if i buy that kit, where can i buy the steering extension? and will i need to have extended brake lines made or any thing else modified?

Also, i have just bought a power steering system including the rack, hoses and pump. I have come to understand that the mounting brackets are not the same (if anyone has a set let me know), but i don't know whether i can use the steering knuckle/shaft from my manual steering or whether i should buy one or whether if i buy a steering extension for the lift kit, if this would fix my problem. can someone please help?
zech.

King Springs do not have lifted springs for L Series in their catalogue, but I have heard of them making custom springs. Industrial Springs do lifted springs. However, conventional wisdom has it that a suspension lift in an L is a bad idea, owing to their already limited travel and weak CVs.

Yes, mounting brackets and bushes are different between power and manual racks, as are the uni joints in the steering column. Dunno about lift extensions.

while on the topic, can you buy longer struts to help with travel when putting in taller springs) - for an MY brumby. If so does anyone have links to springs and or struts?

just an update,
i've now got everything for my powersteer conversion except the mounting brackets, which i had to go to a subaru dealership to order, and they had to order them in from japan! but it's only costing $20 so i'm not worried.
Also i was looking at the drivetrain mounts, (because i'm guna lift it soon) and the front crossmember bolts are a set of threads on a plate pointing to the ground through the chassis rail held by a nut on the underside of the crossmember, are these removable so that i can utilise the longer H/T bolts required?

even though king spring don't make lifted springs for the l series you could get standard ones cause they are stiffer than standard it would help keep your belly from scrubbing a bit. i have them in my lseries not to bad
maybe talk to a machining shop for the steering spline extension my come with one but it was piss weak and had play through the steering so i had to weld it
