Very straight forward advice from me... MIX AND MATCH.
Stick them both in the shed, shake well, then enjoy the result...

Yep - been undercover its whole life apparently. It drives but has 'something' wrong with the engine. Seller was a lady who didn't have a clue about what was wrong with it or what it was worth - she just wanted to get rid of it.guyph_01 wrote:Was that brumby only $600????
Of course I still have to pay $1000 to get it to WA.
Was thinking I could fix up the front of the WRX with the brumby panels ??

Mate, that brumby was a steal...And as everyone said, wreck the Rex and breath life into the brumby...no other option really.

OK heres the plan :
1. Buy Gen 1 or 2 Liberty or Outback
2. Put WRX motor in Liberty
3. Put Liberty Motor in Brumby
4. Buy another Liberty motor and box.
5. Put 2nd motor and box in rear of Brumby

Mate, I had a look at that Brumby on the Trading Post and I must say that I was that close to putting a bid on it...

Yeah I rang the ad Friday arvo - I must have been the first caller - and said I would buy it.
I rang her on Staurday to finalise the details and she said her phone had been running hot. She was gobsmacked when she found out I was paying over a thousand dollars to get a $600 car freighted to WA. She really had no idea of how much it was worth.
