Very heavily disguised - at least I hope so - otherwise the rear 3/4 window area just behind the door is absolutley hideous.
Lets wait to see the real one and find out what sort of powertrain it is going to have before we make judgments.

I think it's a silly attemp to make something European looking like the square heads do with baby Bimmers and Mercs .
Generally the reason for having the cabin portion that far back is get close to or 50 50 weight distribution .
Having a flatulence four up front makes a mockery of this when the krauts can already get 50 50 with a longer cast iron based inline 6 .
In time it could have potential as an AWD if Subaru lose the idea of having the front diff in the gearbox . Doing it Zoobs normal way forces them to have the engine too far forward of the effective front axle center line and this why AWD Subies are nowhere weight distribution wise .
In time .

Daza the picture you have linked to is just a 'cut and shut' test mule based on the Impreza platform. Of course it's ugly!
The real 'concept' Toyaru looks like this:
Toyota FT-86
Not bad looking really, although why they call it the new Celica is strange, the '86' in the concept's title is the important bit. Sprinter anyone...

Surely Subaru will make it AWD, it would be un-subarual if it was RWD
But without a turbo, i think the reporter is on drugs
Direct injection 2.0 is a nice touch though. It will then possibly run over into the 2.5 and the new 3.6L H6, which will help Subaru stay competitive to other brands in fuel efficiency and power
I rekon it has potential,...... If it has AWD and at least 200kW

not sure about the looks, if it does come out with an AWD/turbo combo i'd say the toyota price tag would be scary

But that is the Toyota version, the Subaru one will have same basic driveline/suspension but with a different body shape, somewhat like a Impreza coupe

A few Toyota's have had 5x100 stud patterns in the past
