Carby Kits, Any Advice?

Hi All,
Has anyone used the carby kits they sell on ebay for the 1600 and 1800's? Are the any good. Is it worth my time? Money?
I have a 1978 Subaru Brumby.. He's hot, just quietly, but I do find when I accelerate I get a bit of lag sometimes, like the carby isn't pumping enough fuel... Would the rebuild kit fix that ??
Any ideas anyone?
Cheers! Carlie.

From what I have read about your ute Carly, I would just let it run in now before you do anything else, could take 5 to 10 thousand K's before he loosens up enough to see what you really have there.

Just thought I would post this. There is a site http://www.nardek.com.au that seems to have rebuild kits available for several of the EA series engines.

I havent got one yet but if I do end up getting one Ill post saying whether its worthwhile or not.
