Hi Gang
Can anybody recommend a place to get my l series wheel hubs redrilled
to a different pattern in Perth.

i had no end of trouble trying to find someone to do it for me

even after i assured them it was for a vehicle that would never see a public road

i ended up drilling them myself, i really really recomend you use a drill press tho, would make the whole process so much simpler and better


i did run into someone from high school the otherday and he said he could do them for me... so there is hope out there

I don't know who did it, but whoever did Oversteer's L series did it good. He launched that thing heaps and those hubs were 100% all the way through.

thats who did oversteers car. they dont seem 2 have a problem doing it either. when i got a quote it was around $75 a hub. if your doing it, let me know and we'll try get a bit of a discount 4 both of ours

No point, I took a set of hubs up there a couple of years ago, they inspected both the front hub and the rear drum, measured material thickness etc then told me I had no options. Not even six stud.

Go down driveshaft balancing and talk to Brendan the machinist......have your job in your hand and talking to them face to face is always going to much more fruitful. Rex the owner is a top bloke as well.

114.3 x 5 is ford , yes done quite a few of this size

It's a pitty you all live on the wrong side of Australia. I would have drilled them for $100 for all 4 hubs, 'cause I have a mill and an indexing head.

You would only need the hub centers and not the complete disk is that right or do you need the whole disk.
Because the price of sending centers is reasonable considering distance.

So is a ford pattern possible on a subi center and how much to do
the deed.

The jig drills the holes spot on .I am a machinest by trade ( past life ) & made the jig many years back .I give you a call over the next few days .

My first post back here in a while. Been reading a bit thats been happening on the boards lately and I think I will continue to lurk.

Vidler, the Ford / Toyota pattern can't work. I'd like to see it work, but on stock hubs or adaptors there simply isn't enough meat. I've whipped up a quick Autocad drawing for you (Ok, I'm working on something else entirely but realised I could make a quick deviation for the purpose of this thread).



Someone please prove me wrong. I do realise I have rounded to the nearest mm on one of those measurements (not that you can tell from the pic). And I haven't even allowed for the taper down to the disc mounting holes.

4x114.3 will definitely work.
