Winch for an L series

Hey all just wondering if anyone has chucked a winch on an L series, and if so was there alot of re-inforcing or anything that needed to be done?

I've seen a winch on a Lib, and there's pics here of one on the back of a Forester, but I wouldn't like to put one on an L series. Aside from the issue of carrying a 50-odd kg winch, an L body just ain't strong enough to hold up under winching loads. Get a shovel.

I reckon a OME winch was an option for the USDM L-Series

Wouldn't think it would have been much chop though

Ive seen a brochure of a dealer installed winch on a MY 4wd wagon

But i cant imagine it would be real strong cos there aint much to support it on
