Hi Steve, How's that new motor of yours getting on now that you have had time to settle it in and get used to it? Bit of a change isn't it.

Hows it going, Pete. Just been round at a mates place, ( actually , the one who dropped the washer down the inlet manifold), planning a fishing expedition for Saturday......well that was the basic excuse.!!!
It is motoring along very well. Done about 1500 kms, still running 10 grade oil. Change up to heavier stuff at 2000km ; Volksbaru recommendations!!
It is a very different experience. Heaps more responsive than standard motor; not mind shattering acceleration...yet tried....but you can really feel it wanting to keep going ! Has a slight miss at idle when it warms up; think valve/s needs adjustment.
Not complaining about the turn of events that set me on the "twin exhaust port" trek!!
Steve

Good one Steve, and happy to hear your mate hasn't been found at the bottom of a mineshaft, , hope you have no plans for using him as bait, lures work better. The miss does sound like a timing issue but it's a little hard to tell from here, the boy's at Volksbaru will sort it out given time as these are only teething issues.
