Hey guys,

i recently bought a Subaru Liberty RX 2.5L sedan, manual 5sp 2000 model... and i ran the tank all the way till the low fuel light came on, and for another 50kms after light was on.

When i filled it up, it only took 50 litres? the book says 64L tank, and low fuel light comes on 10L to go..

is there more in reserve? like another 10L?

i only got roughly 480kms out of the tank.. i was hoping to get 650kms out of the tank :S

Cheers

around town i wouldnt expect much more than your 480km the misus RX is the same, but on the hiway it will get better! i was under the impression they were only 60L tanks.

It would be 64 litre tank to dry, but the pick up lines doesn't reach to the bottom of the tank, I've reached 62 litres at the pump once in my Gen 2 Liberty GX. The fuel light comes on when the fuel becomes to that level (you may notice if you go down hill or uphill the light goes away because it thinks that there is more fuel in that sensor area.)

One little thing - I think you could've gotten a bit more kms - what kind of driving is that? City or highway?
