Ormanoid Silvershield
Ormanoid Silvershield
I'm thinking of using some Ormonoid Silvershield in the tray of the Brumby. Has anyone used it and know how reflective it is? I don't wanna be driving around one day and get blinded by the sun glare.

sorry never used it this link

states its For the protection and preservation of metal and bituminous roofing, metal structures, farm machinery and external surfaces of water tanks.
so I dont see why you couldn't use it the big question is can you paint over it with enamel if so then you wouldn't have to worry about the blinding effect of the aluminium coating
if you have a spare panel or use a small piece of the brumby tray (inspection opening) do a test and leave it in the weather for a few days to see what happens

when I bought my near new Holden I used to take all the floor mats and door trims and upholstery out and painted the insides if the doors and the floors and everything within reach, bloody thing still rusted.
suggest you make sure there is no existing rust or you are just painting it in and it will rust out!
also osmonoid does not dry hard it stays relatively soft so can be scratched.
if you are not driving in reverse and sitting backwards can't see how glare is going to affect you. especially as the tray is not visible when seated in the car anyway.
