FINALLY, someone looks at my GLTA!

Post by steptoe » Mon Jul 06, 2009 4:45 pm

I'd say I have generally got around unnoticed in my L Series sedan for 25,000km. It may be shiny red old sedan but it is 4WD turbo sedan on LPG and never seem to have got any looks in traffic (unless I have stirred them up a bit first :) ) until recently someone in a white FWD L Leone sedan has been eyeing my beast when going in opposite direction - you know the 90 degree head turn sort of thing. Not sure if he thinks mine looks different or knows it is different to what his may be. Most other L drivers out there in L sedans or wagons have their minds on other things.

Gotta say I reckon I have only ever really noticed 2 L series RX's on the road before, 2 GLTA's and a 4WD non turbo sedan with 'bitch' scratched into the boot paint. I've seen more Vortexs actualy.

My L series gets noticed all the time.

But thats because its loud so everyone turns their heads to see what it is :P

I have had a few L Wagon drivers come up to me and comment on how clean and tidy it is for such an old car.
* 1990 L Series Sportswagon (Daily Driver)
