What the best grade and type of engine oil for a standard naturally aspirated 2.2 EJ22 motor????

Everyone has different opinion here, my Liberty always used Castrol Magnetic 10/40w since new.. Depends what you're comfortable and give a few oils a run to be comfortable with...

and my pick is Penrite. Australian company, and they only make good stuff. HPR oils are also better than many others in high temperatures (it's not quite as simple as just being thicker).
Probably HPR10 or HPR15 for the lib.

when I buy a second hand car I try to find out from the owner what they used and continue to use the same oil a mechanic once told me when you change the oil brand the engine gunk can build up in all the wrong places (usually from synthetic to mineral or vice versa)
otherwise I use castrol 20w 40 or 20 w 50

that is correct, I normally like penrite but since my Liberty had castrol since new they is why im keeping that way, i noticed that my EJ22 didnt like other oils...

Wondering. To a question to yous who have done this where there cars,
Where the best place/s to go to completely recondition my Liberty?
Like Strip the car, fix all the loose shit, re-pain, maybe even a newer engine as well as other various modifications.

dumb qustion but i need to ask.
how do i set the clock in my 92 liberty gx. it didnt come with the book and the Haynes manual ive got only tells me how to rip the whole thing out.
