brumby air holes/vents

hi guys looker more than poster
im starting to get serious in sound offs mainly spl (sound pressure levels)
im considering to seal up the vents behind the doors and holes under the door sill
has any one tryed this for this purpose or to stop water getting in
will blocking off vents dehind doors alter air flow, through i cant see a way it could be a problem just thought i would find out

It will alter cabin airflow. At work I used to have a 100 Series that'd been turned into a ute, and whoever did the chop didn't put any vents in the back. That meant the air con had to be on recirculate all the time, or it would whistle as air pushed out past the door seals. Also made it difficult to get the windscreen demister to do its thing.
For it to work you'd have seal up the air intake at the front of the cabin as well.

If you are talking about the little holes just in under the sill , under the car , they are the drain for any water to get out of the car. If you block them you will and up with rust starting to form , faster than normal. IF you dont mean that area , the only other area i can think of that you mean , are the drains in the bottom of the doors, there is the same . Water that enters the doors , cant get out . Bingo , Rust . If you change any thing , as the saying goes, For every action , there is an equal and opposite reaction.

yea this makes sence (no air getting sucked out the back)

yea obvlious stopping water draining out will cause rust
to describe were im talking...were the join in the steel is just in side the cab from there is oval holes
