Does EA82 vane AFM restrict ?

Just wondering. I have been asking why you guys searching for more power from EA82T's are doing so.

I don't think, I could effectively use any more go than what I presently have. Even now I feel I will need AWD soon and a smoother faster shifting box at that (maybe brain to match :) )

I admit most little four new cars are sort of leaving me at the lights, dunno if they are manuals or autos? but I sort of catch up bloody quick. Left on my own I can dawdle or just lead foot it, either way drives well.

Someone suggested crappy tyres ` maybe. Also suggested try run against a V6 Bommodore, not really sort of comparo I was looking for. Tried a mate in his Maloo 185kW but could not hear my wheel spin for his roaring exhaust :) :)

Maybe it is just the difference from auto 3 speed to man5 speed? with fresh valve springs and my comparisons to several of my EA81's and the EA82 wagon the box came from, but this thing is just a 22 year old turbo version of the others ? Right?

SORRY, TO MY POST QUESTION

Wondering if the difference is my LPG fuel liking and taking up all the advance timing the knock control will give it down low revs, or the better fuel at 109RON

Or is it that I have eliminated the vane style afm that some of you have said it is or must be a restriction. Surely it would only be a restriction at the higher end of things.

Between my 3.8 l VL style air box/filter and the standard throttle body - is a gas mixer rated at 276 CF/M and 172HP WOT 11/2" Hg manifold Depression.

Anyone know flow rating of the vane style afm, think it is the Karman Vortex style. Doesn't say much for all the Falcon 4.0 and 4.1 running this Impco mixer, but as a comparison it may be a 'bit' like someone whacking a Falcon six TB on a turbo four ?!?
