Just some trivia for those interested, handy for freighting??.
Firstly the heaviest I have had was a 4EAT, 4 speed TCU contolled AWD out of Lturbo Thomas's car. 93 odd kg for the box, 13 for torque converter, and say 5 for fluid.
My 3 speed 4WD auto box was spot on 76 kg with TConv and say 5kg for fluid
The 5 speed 4WD D/R with flywheel and clutch is about 78 kg plus gear oil
other factors to consider are the auto starter feels a bit lighter than manual from memory
auto shifter may be lighter than manual levers
auto cross member is pretty chunky and may weigh much same as manual gearbox xmember.
then there is a clutch pedal to add
all up very little weight save on doing a swap unless you started with the 4EAT heffer
found a sticker to say box had been out already by Central Automatic Transmission Service 662 1458 Sydney ?? car only had 188km on it when I got it. boxes may not be much chop like I have heard about these 3 speed autos
