righto, still chasing that clock spring.... but have bled the brakes and taken it for a short spin... tyres need pumping up, needs a wheel alignment, possibly a power steering service and thats it, Rev's are taking a little longer to drop than i expected but could be the ecu finding its new parameters... oh gotta adjust the clutch too...

other than that, runs like a dream and pulls hard. Cant wait to see how she goes foot to the floor but will need a run in period first....

Will be sad day when i have to let her go.....

had a detailer out today, gave it a once over with a pressure washer, polish and buffer, gave the interior and wheels a detail. Looks and feels brand new. Getting the skirts and rear bumper resprayed on july 1st.

clock spring is sorted. dropped it into an efi place on wed/thurs to get the airbag light reset and system check, but they couldn't communicate with the airbag module. checked the power supply and that seems to be okay, so i need to source another module to try that.

Going to get super low kings and some new bushes up front, then she's ready for sale.

Will post up some pics tomorrow of how she's lookin

got in touch with subaru who said my car s only compatible with 2 possible airbag module's. Quote from them is $1637 to supply another one. Have found a place in tasmania that resets and clears the control modules so i've posted mine off there for them to fix. All for $220.

So cross fingers when i get that back, i install it and its all sweet. will let you know how things go

It would be funny if the future new owner replaced the steering wheel with a $200 repco job lol :) It's been done, a mate of mine did it to a wrx - twit!
Hey as a fall-back you might get lucky if you can find somebody with another B4 frontcut.....they probably wouldn't be using that module if doing an engine swap.

here's some pics... The bloke in Tas is pretty confident he can reset it, apparently subaru ones are straight forward compared to some other makes. I doubt i'd have much luck finding one off a half cut as most twin turbo cuts are 99/00 model. The airbag control module thats in it now is from an 02 rx liberty and it turns out its not compatible.

tried everything.... in reality it is best to sell it as we have the new xt foz, and we still need a bunky to throw the dog in to take to the beach etc etc. Only problem is reality's a bit sh1t. I'd love to keep it as a wknd cruiser but need the money more than a car that will get limited use.

Awesome! Now you all have to do is stage a head-on collision to really test it :)

Good luck for licensing, I'm sure it will be fine.
