Saw a gold GLF coupe today whilst riding.

The owner, an elderly gent was getting out of it.

Seemed to be a clean example, few carpark dings and a rust bubble around the rear screen. Auto, only 225XXX kms.

We know they are popular here, but what would you actually offer (redbook BS aside)?

Yes, that sounds about right I bought mine at auction for $650- 84 model with 264K's. Have had the engine rebuilt (cost around $2K)I was lucky the car had no rust also swapped the digital dash to an analogue one. Goes as well as it can for the power it has.

saw him today - tried $850.

Reply was (in a thick accent): "No. No. No. This good car. Noa sell for dat..."
