Hey,

I have a Subaru, L Series, sports wagon, 1.8L, 89 model, i recently blew my left headlight glob. I went to buy a knew one and they quoted $63.00 for a new h6 i think it was?? as they standard globe for most cars is h4 and they about $12.00

$63.00!!!!! for a new glob, i coulnt belive it.

I ended up just buying a H4, grinding a bit out of the socket so they fit, and that was the only difference between the bloody things??

has anyone else had this problem?? and what the hells the go with the prive oh those H6??

Cheers

Mate's old L series had one side H4 and the other side H6... I reckon there must of been a era of H6's..

h6 is jap spec. The bulbs are more like a twin filament h1, they dont have the tiny reflector in them like the h4. Also the h6 headlights dont have that reflector cap thingy in the case sitting immediatley in front of the bulb, the pattern of the glass is different as is the dust cap on the back. Well thats the story for mine anyway. I've tried and failed to get uprated bulbs like phillips night vision.
