True Rumour! Hatchie FOR SALE

Post by SuBaRiNo » Fri Oct 03, 2008 8:46 am

Just giving you guys the heads up. It looks like very shortly the Hatch will be up for sale. Price is unknown at this stage until i know exactly what im going to sell with it.

And to put the flames out a little bit.... NO im not buying any other car than a Subaru.

Anyone with any interest should PM me.

Reason for the sale is that im growing up and getting more into touring about with the camper and family than going hardcore offroading and i need a littlre more space than the hatch can provide.

It's my lifes work and it will be sad to see it go but i have no room in my life for an over sized Go Kart.

bah...get your new car and keep Hatch anyway, she doesn't take up much room or cost much in insurance, you know you want to :)

So sorry to hear that Dave, :( I know how much hatchie means to you and alllll that great work you've done on her.

Just an idea, but why not just transfer all her running gear and suspension into an L or MY Tourer?

You'll have all the room you could possibly need....and your s/c would power it along easilly....then Hatchies essence could live on.... ;)

Tiz why Ive kept my L, so much room to pack allllll that camping gear or even sleep in her if I need to.

Dave, Now I am sure it was only earlier this year you stated something like Com’n dude do you think I’ll ever sell Hatchie?

I am sure you’ll miss it terribly. Sorry too here she may be going to leave your garage.
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

Same thinking that we had a while back. Scrub bashing is fun but touring can be more adventurous and interesting. Good luck with the sale.

Dave, if you follow this through you have to:

a) Bring it over east for a trip or two to show it a piece of Victoria

b) Never mention that you regret selling Hatchie after she's gone

It will be sad to see someone else behind the wheel of Hatchie if they happen to be a part of the forum community...

Good luck with finding an appropriate home.

I will regret it... i know that already but it makes sence at this stage in my life.

Keeping it would be nice but it would just sit there. Im looking at getting a Forester and have test drove one that was a 2.5L but (no offence to anyone who has one) Hatch would seriously leave it for dead. Perhaps the weight of the forester effects it more than i thought or the SuperCharger does a little more than first thought.

Im still unsure on a selling price but i can more or less remove things until it suits someones budget. The thing is soo jamed packed with goodies i can remove half of it and it still has LOTS of fruit.
