Pimp Your Suby

Hey all just wondering what little things you may have done to customize your suby, besides engine upgrades and the whole lot. im talking about little DIY things you have done to the interior, or little things you've done to pimp your suby up. just want to get ideas and maybe spread some to other members of the forum for what they can do to their suby.

i'll kick it off, i have a L series. just put a drink holder in it on the weekend, went to the local boating shop and got a $6 drink holder, a can of blue paint to match the interior and sanded it back, sprayed it and drilled it in where the little ash-tray thing was at the rear of the centre console.

(It looks huge in the photo, but thats only because i had to stick the camera about 10cm away from it to get a front on pic.)

I bought some chrome lettering off of ebay, seeing as it doesnt have a Model name under the Make like most cars, i thought i'd give the old girl a name.

Would love to see what other little things others have done!
cheers.

Don't have pics yet, but,
I've sprayed my front grill 'midnight' black (from gun barrel grey)
Stuck a Boags (beer) bottle cap to my volume button on head unit (makes it easier to spin)
Have put a stubbie holder over the auto T-bar cutting a hole for the economy button :)
I like the little things...

-custom white grill with sti badge built in to the original badge spot.
-white wing mirrors
-underseat neons that beat with the music
-subaru sticker writing on the back of the rear view mirror.
-custom centre console and short shifter gear stick and boot.
-wrx seats.
-sports steering wheel
-tacho on a-pillar
-carpet with underlay thru the whole boot
-door trims customised to fit 6x9's but earlier it was to fit 6.5inch splits
-custom 6x9 enclosures in the back
-cb radio mounted beautifully in the cigie tray under the head unit
-massive fluro centre light in the roof
-proper 12v halogen downlights for the front and rear
-leds under the wing mirrors that shine down the door(not currently hooked up)
-permenant engel wiring
-amps screwd to the back of the rear seats so they dont drown when i flood the car(already payed off once)
-dynamat thru the WHOLE car to improve road noise and stereo sound quality
-switches built in on top of the head unit for spotties and stuff
-wiring for my tom tom sat nav

in the making at the moment is a landmeter(i think theyre called) which shows the pitch and roll of the car, which id like to fit into the original clock mounting in the centre of the dash.

there really is soo much more stuff. These are only the interoir little custom bits. The list is three times longer for the external items ;)

i got the exact same cup holders as indy- except mounted in the front doors. they are great - hold everything from choc milk to 600ml plus bottles. one broke this weekend tho :(
apart from the stereo facia which everyone has ive also got:
switches for spotties etc located above the fuse box in the pocket
used to have a round fluoro interior light unitl it broke
6x9's fitted into the tailgate to keep my side pockets. amp mounted sideways above the rear wheel so i can sleep in the wagon and it wont drown.
whole pile of gauges velcroed to the dash.
used to be more ricey stuff until 4x4ing broke em

i should get a pic of my mates custom woodgrain stereo facia and roof mounted console

haha im liking some of the ideas so far, ive always wanted to get a mini mirror/disco ball, and hang it under the interior light in the centre of the car. so when the lights on itll have a mad disco effect haha.
Subafury - whereabouts on the front doors did you put the cup holder, i was going to put one in the front but wasn't too sure where the best spot would be. cheers buddy.

- Retractable cup holders from new KIA grafted into dash
- Reconfigured Volvo vents replace old eroded ones
- MP3 stereo system with 3 way chrome coned speakers in all 4 doors
- Late model Hyundai leather steering wheel adapted
- Pop up sunroof with UV coating
- GPS fitted into dash fascia with external antenna
- Speaker grills and console components painted in body colour
- Stereo surround is shaped steel covered with vinyl
- Fridge built into console between seats and special switching on dash
- Interior light changed to LED and new lens grafted in
- Custom rear LED interior light
- Formed vinyl covered steel digital clock console in sunroof surround
- extra 4 cigarette lighter sockets down side of main console
- "Medicated for your protection" mini T-shirt hanging from mirror

I'm about to make the finishing touches to the dash with formed steel fascia over whole front of dash, with moulded door handles from the releases up to the dash and the window switches relocated into the drivers handle to the side of the wheel (using Lancruiser Sahara switch unit). Also fitting reversing camera (so I don't run my kids over) and proximity sensors in the rear bumper with the graph lights visible in the rear view mirror. Going to finally properly mount the DVD screen from the roof to keep my kids quiet on trips, and put in a proper mount for my camera for taking pics and video on the fly.

Oh, and I keep forgetting I've got the new fabric for the seats too. Very similar to the original Touring Wagon champaign gold fabric only nicer. Just got to stitch it up.
