Ok guys n girls.

As wrxtc,s at work i will try my hardest to get this rite.

As there is so much interest in covers/lids call em what you will. I will let you in on a little secret im working on.

Ok i got on the slopps with a fibre glasser m8 of mine the other night. And after twisting his arm a bit we come up with a plan. (he makes dash mat molds off new cars any thing from a mack to a merc) REV knows what he is doing.

Were taking a mold of my soft cover and gunna make it a solid replica rite down to the eyelits. It should look like a soft cover probably still need centre support and have stretchy rope holding it down.

Just a bit unsure of how the part will work behind the cabin yet. Have t wait till its out of the mold.

Now my cover aint perfect its got a couple of marks but i want that sort of original look. And it will still flex a bit. But unlike mine wont sag under speed.could be painted or just left black out of the mold.

A soft cover cost from $250 up to $400 don t realy know how much this one will be . lol mite even burn the blue print lmao. na jk.

just wondering what interest there is in sales of this cover. or is it my one off
lol

I might interested, but to be blunt, isn't that sort of pointless, i thought the idea of a hard cover was something that would be a little more flashy, leaving the soft cover as a more functional yet uglier piece of equipment, ie being able to fold up when carriying large things?

I can see some of the benefits but surely you'd want to make it look a little special?

Just reading your posts about hard cover. just uploaded some pics of when i was making my hard cover moulded straight from car. started with thin sheet of ply cut to sit about 10mm over top of chrome strip. then put some timber on the back to strengthen the whole thing up also surported the whole thing from below. as you will see from photos covered sides of car with thick plastic and coated with releasing agent. then start the fibreglassing process when removed from car i then glassed the back making it a sandwich of glass and ply.

heres the pics

seems a bit pointless, if i was going to pay for a hard cover it would have to be lockable and get rid of the elastics and clips down the side

Exactly, it will add unnecessary weight and be very fragile id imagine.
