who is running kyb suspension?

just a question- id like to know how many others have 2wd kyb struts in the back of their L's for the higher spring base? and for how long have you had them in there 4x4ing?

also part numbers too if you have them. starting to think i got the wrong ones.

because this is what happened to my brand new one...

sorry matty moo-maa...forgot to look at my part number

but yes i have 2wd kybs in the back of my wagon and theyve been copping an absolute punishing for 3 years of solid 4x4 and havent even looked like suffering.

common as failure mate. in factory struts aswell, not just KYBs

the gen4 rear end has gone back to this style. brett had this failure up north

trick to fix this is put a exaust clamp around the shock under the spring base, my RX did the same as yours, did a bush fix with the clamp one day, then got new shock and did the same thing, never had a problem at all!

note dont overthighen the clamp.

do u have raseid rear springs im just thinking that the extra force of the raised springs could b having somethin to do with it

nope std height king springs.
