Always a good topic this one, there may be some debate about it if others have the energy to do it all again...

Do a search on the forum, there should be a thread about it here somewhere. I don't know what the general answer was, but I think from memory it was 55L.

I know I've filled up Sunnie (89 brumby) with at least 53 litres. I've filled up Ruby Scoo (88 L wagon) with 63 L and I know that its only a 60L tank - I like to fill up to the top as much as I can...

Cheers

I had thought about that, but I guess the volume of the filler pipe and maybe the evap tanks arn't taken into consideration... It takes me some time to fill my tank the way I like it. I only do it this way when I'm on a trip of an hr or more...

55L for Brumby or so I am told. Run it dry, it should fill with just over 55L. That'll prove it. Most other mid to late model Subarus are 60L. Though some are 64L in more recent years (not many)
