What does one do with an afternoon and 1/3 of fuel in the tank?

Well I'll tell you how I spent it. After going to the local wreckers for the engine wiring from a late 80's brumby I dropped in on a mate who's into his rangies.
After about an hour of talking about our wish list we decided it would be great fun to go 4wd'n in this wet weather - best bit was that we were both running roadies which made it interesting.
For those who have read the report about the 4wd'n trip around the benders area last year (dial up warning), we went along the fence line on the dam track. The pics below are from the trip, that's subyruby's car
^ This section here was way to slippery for my liking so I went around. Even my mate's traction control had fun on this one...
We also detoured from the bog hole, that would have been inpassable with these conditions. So that left us with the chanel crossing, but the tricky bit here is getting up the other side:
The rangie took 3 goes to get up this one! My car took about 5 after packing the rut (under the car in the above pic) with rocks as it was a lot deeper than what's shown above. After low first @ 5,000rpm Ruby Scoo bounced over the top lip, stopped for a bit, a wiggle left and right on the steering wheel saw her make it to the top. Was a good feeling. An LSD would have helped out heaps here.
We then left for home (5 mins away) before getting distracted by a detour off road again in another area that has extensive erosion from past mining. We ended up in a creek line - 3 metres below the rest of the land around us. I tried a small run up the other side but bellied out and couldn't go any further. I then got stuck trying to get out to go back to the track that we came in on.
The rangie got out, then dragged my sorry bellied out L from its position. Again, and LSD would have done wonders here and a lift kit would have made it a lot easier.
I'm spewing I didn't take the camera, one of the rare times I haven't had it. If I did have it there would have been some awesome shot - believe me!
So, what else do you do with an arvo and 1/3 of fuel in the tank?
