Advise/Hints/Tricks 4 Changing Stering Rack?

Now i did the engine conversion however i have not 1 of these before, so i was wondering is there any little tricks/hints/tips that i should know about?

I have done this a few times before... only real advice i have is.... it's A LOT easier than it looks. Rather simple job compared to the other things you have done lately.

IF you are serious about this then i THINK that i could be back on the road sooner rather then later if i do some rather dodge stuff. Car is currently in City area, i can get he part in the work car (shhhhh) and i will need to limp her home, i was thinking up the freeway doing about 40km/h this evening, then do the work. If its that easy then i think that we are back on the road (and i could have my arm twisted to get it dirty).

only problem i had with this was some of the nuts on mine were loc-tited in places so i had to apply some shock with a big spanner and hammer.

What has gone wrong with it???
Basically there are 4 MAIN bolts that hold the rack onto the engine crossmember. They are hard to miss. (4 bolts)
Then you got the ball joints where the steering links to each steering knuckle. (One nut each)
Then your steering rod thingo. (One bolt)
Only other things u may have to remove are the exhaust pipes and sometimes there is a metal plate mounted over the steering rack which should be another 4 10mm bolts.

Tie rod end on 1 of the ends is about to let go. Driveing it in on Tuesday the steering just went... almost could have had an incident simmilar to yours the other week only i was at speed on the Mitchell. She has been at the mech for the other mystry issues and when they drove and kinda when SH_T. I have just been on the phone with then and the bloke who did the work on it is not there 2day so they do not have a bill for me (*%$^^%#%@&^*%^#) so scratch the above no car until next week now.
