Subi buggy conversion ?
I have an early model MY 1800 wagon that is mechanically A1 but the body is rusty and as a result I have let the rego go.
I was looking to sell off the beast but as it still goes so well in the dirt/sand I am now thinking of converting it to a buggy.
Just wondering if anyone here on the forums know of a subi based conversion... by this I mean something like the vw fibreglass body kits.
The aim would be to strip all the panels/body and keep the drive train components and add a new buggy body kits.
I thought Rhinobuggies used to base their kits on subis but it now looks like they only do nissan patrols... any ideas ?

Done plenty of stripping things off but not really any adding of stuff just yet except for some box section to get some strength back into the body.
Also converted to EJ22 afterwards to give her a bit more poke.
She is getting a lift kit and way bigger tyres soon.

Give Rhinobuggies a call, they used to ( probably still do ) sell plans for suby buggies, they're awesome beasts.HolyMackerel wrote:I have an early model MY 1800 wagon that is mechanically A1 but the body is rusty and as a result I have let the rego go.

No go on the rhino buggy option... looks like they have stopped ALL subi based buggies and are only rolling out the Nissan Patrol based models.
Anyone got a picture or any other info on the subi based buggies.
I need to work out if it is doable other wise the old beast will be heading off to the metal compactors.
Anyone ?
