I know Dave isn't too keen on taking the pics while the car is in pieces but I saw it yesterday and even I'm quiet impressed with the work so far.. looks great Dave :) I'd be proud of the work  especially in the time you've spent on it.

well, broke the brumby clutch pedal today, so got the rex genuine pedal and gonna make the bloody thing fit.

got basically the rest of the bits i need off the donor car today, by the end of tomorro the interior should be done, entire front end will be done, tailshaft done, all the CV shafts will be done, all that will be left mechanically will be the diff (need to re ratio a male one) and the rear brakes, which will take time, and the ecu..

ive now tried a ausdm ecu, no worky, link ecu, worky, JDM type RA 99 ecu, no worky.

i cant seem to get past this immobilisor shit so i think im gonna have to go for an aftermarket ecu, which is just gonna cost me too much and dunno wot to do about it.

then...strip the car back down to a rolling shell and body work...then will be ready to wheel the shit out of...hopefully in the next 3 weeks to a month and will be racing!!

Sounding good Dave.. Would love to see some progress pics but I know how you feel about them

I'm really puzzled as to why none of those ECUs are working but it must be something really simple.. do you have any wiring diagrams for the parts you have?

Sounds like its coming along well Dave.
The WRX I spoke of on p-wrx is still sitting on my front lawn and is fitted with an autronics. Thinking Jason best pick up his car ASAP. :)

hey corrie....ill swap the autronics for a stock my99 ecu, he wont notice i bet.

update....CV shafts are a total disaster....i have ZERO way of making front shafts work in this car with the parts i have....

so on that note...i has NFI wot im going to do now...progress slowed down dramatically due to this slight issue.

if anybody knows how to make WRX cv's go onto BRUMBY shafts let me know...caus as far as im concerned....they dont

Sh*t.. F##K.. Damn.. Gotta love CVs :D

Well Dave.. Can you grab me a picture and spline count of your Brumby CV shafts and I'll chat to good friend at the CV shop and see if he can come up with a solution.. :)

Regarding front driveshafts, your issue is probably that there are different types of MY shafts with regards to spline count. Perhaps the particular year of Brumby you have has the wrong type.

Quoted from Crossbred website;
"MY use 22 spline MY shafts with Liberty outer CV."

Not particularly detailed but im sure the specifics of exactly what to use are lying around this forum somewhere.
If you're keen for longterm reliability your probably best off getting new CV's etc anyway. Alan's CV Joint can easily make up frankenstein shafts out of new or reconned bits.
