Perfect oportunity to discover if buying a car can ever be considered an "Investment"!!:)
so,lets say ave 7% interest on 17k (ignoring compounding) - its not that hard to have a 7% return investment ave over 13yrs.
So my benchmark would be at least $32k,
if he gets that, i'd say well done:p

You certainly can invest in car, great example would be a Falcon GT or GTHO, they were under 5k new, and now theres a 1970 GTHO on autotrader for 145K

now thats not a bad investment

$4790 in 1972 for the GT. How much extra for the HO ?

How long does the factory coolant protect the alloy and other bits from corrosion ? A 14 year old rubber component is the same whether it has done 250 k or 125k

I'd rather buy the rexed Brumby on ebay for that sort of money !!

i looked this up again cos i was wondering how the bidding went. Final bid AU $12,603.00 .... but Reserve not met... the dude must still have it. Back in the shed for another 14 years.
