Subi nuts won't really know what the brumby is anyway - so why worry about that??

Either way, if they get it right (hard job!) no one will worry about it's links to the brumby!

Realistically there's a market out there for a hi/lo 4wd small/light 4wd that's inline with small/medium car handling too. Not only do Subaru have to aim for the farmer/small acreage owners but they also have to appeal to their wives that have to ride in the passenger's seat to the shops/church etc etc.

I know I'm keen for a Brumby, and I hope to one day be the proud owner of a fine example - even if I have to "bring it back up to scratch". Time will tell on that one.

But once again this whole thing comes down to Subaru finding a niche market where they can make a good dollar after all the development etc that goes into producing a car these days.

Cheers

when you think about it, think Oz was the biggest market for Gen2 Brumby spanned over 12 years 82 to 94 and we saw a few changes due to pollution needs. Imagine again if we were the biggest market over same time frame and the number of future emission changes the engineers and bean counters would envisage, not to mention crash tests that don't seem to be needed to actually sell in any number, ANCAP stars is not a prerequisite to sales, then someone decides if no driver error eqiuipment - no sale in our state - sort of stuff - little wonder !!

Do not think this pretty little SUV has a rear cabin window - it is in the canopy ???

I would have thought it was the US that was the largest market, regardless of number of years on sale!

I doubt they were our changes/requirements - probably requirement of Japan or Europe as we seem to follow Europe pretty closely these days :(
