I think $200 is a sensible price to ask for this kit. I say sensible as it will move at this price without issue IMO. Higher and you could be sitting on it for some time :???:

Confirmation here that many MY A/Cs were dealer fitted here in OZ, My Z32 mechanic told me he used to stay behind at his garage/work when he was first apprenticed and fit them for a Subaru dealership next door on a cash basis. Still WTeed by the dealership.

Hasn't gone yet. It has move out of the Kelmscott shop but only as far as the new shop (closer to Freo though :p )

The other thing I don't see in the pics it the idle up control (with vacuum lines) and tab off the carby.
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.

Here we are 2 years later and brumby/ MY aircon kits are worth more than double this! Amazing how these prices sky rocket as they become rarer..

Or as people with the parts realise there's a market for this kit. Same for the PS setups.

I guess I'm lucky where I've found a source 100km from my house that had in the double digits of both kits and the majority of MY/Brumby/leone parts..

Hi, I have an air con unit out of a Brumby to go into my Brumby. Is there anyone in NSW experienced in installing them I can pay to do the job? Thanks Bruce

Hi Bruce. I've done a couple and it's straight forward. A little time consuming but straight forward. I can help you if you like but I can't gas the system for you - would need to find someone licenced.

I'm in Maitland NSW if you don't find someone closer.

You can install the system, it's pretty straight forward if you've got ALL the bits!

Then as Ron said, pay someone to do the gas side of things ;)

Cheers

Before the install make sure you pop the evaporator case open and have a good look at the evap unit, clean the leaves and dust out with compressed air only and check for oily residue or yellow/fluorescent dye. If it has this then the unit is toast.

I'm glad I checked mine for this reason, or I would have gone through all the trouble of installing and gassing it only for it all to leak out again

Thanks guys. 555Ron installed it for me last weekend and a local mobile air con company is doing the finishing touches and gas next week.
