In case everyone forgot he put his Brumby plans on hold while he built a 4G63 turbo AWD (Mitsubishi Evo for those who don't know) Jumbuk. Last I heard it was all but finished. Apparently the Jumbuk is basically a Lancer underneath and theis conversion is fairly straight forward :)

Talk about a sleeper! Of course, if he screws up, he'll be extra dead...

Im going out on a limb here and saying I like the LOOK OF the Jumbuck, very similar to the brumby in my opinion. The first time I saw one I was like "Hey, look its a...Oh, its a Mitsubishi!"
Also like the Pulsar utes, pity FHI didnt do an Impreza ute.

the reason i went with the brumby was back in the 80's when working on the rail we had some contractors using the leone wagons to run down the fire trails and tracks beside the rail line seem to do the job ok just the clowns driving them wrecked them after 4 months driving them through fences and hitting different objects. the other option was the datsun 1200 ute but trying to find one cheap enough and with out rust or hadn't been molested. i drove one of them for about a week was good to drive had a 1800b motor in it used to pickup parts and support car for a lancer and 1800b rally car

It was just a quick Microsoft Paint job that I did a few years back. I thought it looked awesome. It has the rear tailgate from the wagon as the rear window so there is enough room behind the seats - I think that is where most ute conversions go wrong as ute doors are usually longer than sedans. That is why the WRX one above looks so good as they have added a bit of a window behind the door.

Yep good work on the RS ute :)

Not sure about the WRX ute though - looks great and they have done a really good job of making it look like it came from Subaru but why build a ute and then just fill the tray with speakers ??
