ive looked into these recently, seen a bit of strange stuff searching for the book. There are no factory EJ carb engines, there is however a single point injection if thats the one you mean. A lot like an electric carby except they only squirt when the computer wants it.

I got myself my Xmas pressie today, a 97 SF forester.
Dreaming but I would love to fix up the few little things wrong with it and get it licensed for Xmas.

I gave you a rear wheel carrier kit, you just need to use your imagination.

The RX is a long term project, especially when i dont have a shed to work in, i plan on helping your dad build a add-on shed to his so i can use it to put the RX in

Those of mine are limited to 60 watt in the UK for road use - 100 watt for off road only here :( That little lot cost me £49.00 all inc. plus only ordered it 2 days ago and postie had it on my doorstep at 8 am today. So not bad even for the 'silly' season eh?:)

Same rule here in Australia but Im pretty sure down here in the West Australian Ozarks that it is only illegal when you get caught and my globes took nearly 3 weeks to show up.

90watt low beam is too bright for street use but great if you can get away with it.. at least your not bring attention to your stock standard car ;)

BTW.. Giles they look great do they have them for the twin headlight model?

Yes, the Hitachi carb for those factory carb+disty EJ engines, is Bigger than the ones on the EA engines' hitachis.

Yes, that Legacy came Factory with Carb+Disty EJ engine and Dual Range 5 Speed trans, those are the Subarus for the LADM (Latin American Domestic Market) pretty similar to the ones in Australia, but very different from the ones in USA, because No dual Range is available in USA since the EA82 (L Series) nor Carb+Disty Setups on EJ engines there.

I have tons of Photos of LADM Subarus ~► Here.

Kind Regards.

I wouldn't bother with an Apexi Fc those things are so early nineties in Technology and much better options are available these days in aftermarket ECU"s or reflash the original ECU.

Wish List finish the overhaul of my Twin Carb EA81 and fit it,But no shortcuts with such a rare engine and build a better all wheel drive special gearbox to harness the newfound power and then some suspension to harness that power as well.

Giles look into a new wiring harness upgrade at the same time lose one volt at the lights due to voltage drop and lose about twenty percent light output,Only problem is working out how to work around Subaru's switched earth constant power original headlight wiring setup.
Well worth the effort though
