yep, one day. was on a roll this morning. got the chassis welded, started bolting it all together, packed the hubs with grease, put the bearings in, checked the seals... they've given me the wrong ones. now i have to drive all the way back to bayswater to swap them over... not happy at all

Jay,

Slightly off topic, but where is a good place to get gas north of the river?

How much does it cost?

Recently bought a Lincolne 170 and just using gassless wire at the moment.

i just got an E size bottle of argoshield (good stuff for steel mig) from BOC on a monthly rent. BOC is slightly more expensive that Liquide Air but they only rent the bottle for a year so you have to pay a fair bit up front.

Just cost me $105 for the bottle with 1 month rent, i think its $11 a month rental.

google BOC and call em because they have numerous outlets where you can drop into, create an account and get some gas.

Back on topic, i've just dropped the well body onto the chassis and its HUGE!!! wasnt expecting it to be this big. makes a ridiculous trailer but will be good for an offroad camper thats for sure:)

my local trailer parts supplier can drill whatever stud pattern you want. I had to get the hub machined a bit because the rim didn't fit over it. The standard hub with ford or holden stud pattern was $22 for the pair, he charged $27 for the pair of custom drilled ones. also got that jockey wheel for $53 courtesy of their little stuff with the inner seals

Now im just trying to find some matching rims and tyres.

Ill put more pics up when i drop the flexi glass canopy on top. considering putting it on backwards

here's the canopy bolted on... just gotta put something on the front to enclose that then she's finished for now. looks like i'll have to up grade the axle, down grade the springs. loaded it up last night with moving stuff and it looks a big saggy. i think the distance of the springs to the wheels is a wee bit too much. currently its got a 40mm axle and 1 ton springs, gonna get a 500 mm axle with 750 kg springs and see how that goes. at the moment the suspension doesn't budge which is putting a lot of shock through the axle... But thats next week or the one after
