Pics of my Subaru Liberty Heritage 2001

Post by digitalinsite » Sun May 18, 2008 10:25 pm

Hi All, we just got a Heritage a few weeks back and thought I'd post a few pics on the forums here. Nice to meet you all.

We just got this 2001 Subaru Liberty Heritage a few weeks back for an absolute steal (less than 1/4 of its retail price in 2001)- it's insured at market value for twice what I paid for it ! Immaculate condition - It's the hosh-posh luxury edition with leather seats, leather dash and steering wheel, automatic climate control, 6-stack CD player, All-wheel-drive 2.5L injected petrol engine, 16" factory alloys, paging alarm with remote start (awesome on a hot day - remote start it when you're about 5 mins away and when you get there the aircon's got it nice an cool and ready to go), tinted windows, factory fog lights, factory side-skirts and body kit, cruise control, power windows and mirrors and cup-holders galore !

Awesome car - just so nice to drive and ideal for any sort of road-trip holiday. It feels really firm and poised in the ride but not so harsh that you feel every bump or pothole. Hangs on really well in the corners (and in the wet too) and the All-Wheel-Drive really powers you through corners. It feels like you're really driving round the corner rather than being 'pushed' or 'pulled' like in a RWD or FWD car. I'm pretty impressed with the factory suspension too - it's firm enough that there's not a lot of sway or body roll in the corners but soft enough to keep the ride smooth and balanced without having that floaty feel. The 6-stack CD stereo is really good too for a factory install complete with front door mounted tweeters that punch out the high notes. It's surprisingly got a decent amount of bass too and doesn't distort until right up on max volume.

MODS SO FAR :

( I'll probably be keeping this one fairly stock as it's gonna be our family bus and also... it's just so good looking as it is ! )

+ Blue Xenon Headlight Globes
+ White LED number plate globes
+ Skinny number plate mod (PM me for the details if you're interested)
+ White LED interior light
+ Audio tape adapter for my imate Jam phone to play movies and music videos through the stereo while you drive.

The Heritage is a bloody nice car in any series. Yours looks very clean/straight and well kept.
