Need Help

Hi there. Had a bit of an accident the other day. I either need to repair the damage or ditch it. Do anyone know were i can get aftermarket panels from.

thats actual body damage isnt it?
i think the best thing to do is take everything off around there. (seat, trims, carpet etc) then take it to a Panel shop to get back into place.
and source out new kick panel and wteva else fmo another car/brumby.

but Insurance do cover stuff like that depending on who ur with and if u got Full Comp.

ps. howd ithappen musta been a big rock or something i guess?

Should be able to cut that section out of a donor car and have somebody weld it in. It's very thin metal so you'd have to adjust the welder accordingly, somebody with welding experience will be able to give advice on this, I think it's probably doable fairly inexpensively if you find somebody keen to do it.

At the time I was traveling too fast on a straight stretch of gravel road and the car started to drift side ways. We ended up derooting a tree and going through a fence. The passenger door is firmly against the seat.
That picture only shows 1/3rd of the total damage, all the front panels are badly damaged. My father removed the insurance without telling me to save a few bucks.
Me and the passenger were lucky not to get injured in any way but we are badly shaken up.

Around here we lack a supply dona cars to cutup.

In that case you'd have to try and get it panel beaten, probably very expensive.

If you can source a smashed brumby or wagon (but with straight panels that u need) then try to aquire the whole thing. It's your best bet for an economical fix.

all the fuel lines and wtnot run around there to (jsut under the kik panel which is split in the pic)

OUch - it happens mate... sorry to hear that...
Thats not good - doesnt matter and no matter what if you remove insurance - if the insurance wasnt there anyone shouldnt be on the road - its too risky and messy that all...
Anyway that section can be cut out but you need someone who has welding experience and i think that section is same as MY series. Grab thin grinder wheel and measure measure everywhere from MY and your Brumby of where you gonna cut and has to be square. Its a big job but someone who has experience can do it. Maybe you remove everything inside and give it to someone who is an panel beater who is willing to do that at home with an welder and you finish off the rest.

I can hook you up with the side panel no problem if it's common to the wagon as I'm cutting one up now. Also have most of a front clip if that's all buckled. Also have a friend in Sale area who's wrecking a Brumby with a good side (door isn't great but would do the job - same color too!)...

If thats only one third of the damage, I'd say ditch it.
I think it would be cheaper/stronger/quicker/better to just buy another Brumby and tranfer your lift kit over.
Try to find one with a/c and a bullbar.

True I personaly agree with that. Its Money well spent.

I ve noticed that the wagons kick panel are shorter to the brumby's.
My father is planing to get it "Patched Up" but it's all comeing out of my pocket.
I post a photo of the full damage tomorrow night. I must warn you it's not a pretty sight.

anything CAN be repaired using the simple formula

time = $$$. How much do you wnat to spend? If you are not handy panel wise this will cost a lot

Bordertown / Western Victoria / SE is the home of the Brumby ute. You will easily find a good one (or not so good depending on budjet). I have bought several over the years from the district just by word of mouth.

for example

ebay recently: from Horsham taga top / AC / PS / blue like yours good car $1100

I bought a 'Aguip' model from lameroo for $2500 (rebuilt motor, AC good nick) by just asking the local mechanic if there any he knew of

but look at the up side...you are alive...have done too many 'Rescue 1' trips to Bordertown over the years.

At the moment Im pricing up the Rocker panel and door seal. The rest will be replaced with second hand panels!

I managed to get a good deal on a parts brumby with bad rear end damage.

My plan is to have my ute back on the road by the end of Febary.

Awesome to hear mate.. Should be good, and maybe this time you'll know the limits of the Brumby a bit better.
