 What you said isn't correct.

The donor vehicle I've got for my Brumby upgrade is a Gen 1 GX Rallye sedan. EJ22 with dual range AWD gearbox. It looks similar to Jan's Liberty (main differences are that mine's blue and also has panel damage).

Forget it guys, you can't generalise anything Subaru like that...
They made exeptions to any rule you can think of.

But good buying Yarney!

Well, I know of at least 6 GEN1 sedans that were d/r. I have driven several as I was going to get the sedan before I got my wagon. What makes you say that all sedans were single range? All the RS's were single range originally AFAIK.

As a side note ALL GEN 1 AWDS weather wagon or sedan had Dual range as standard in manual. In the GEN 2 it was only in wagons

With all the members of the Subaru club of Queensland going to Liberty's and Foresters, we will have to start looking for easy trips. How many members still have L's and MY's?

Jan why remodel the l-series one, just buy a new one they don't cost that much. When I got mine it only cost me $67.78 from Subaru that was 10/10/07 here's the part No 44371AA000.
Good luck with it and hope to see you out on the tracks soon.:D
