There is a mob who make "extractors/headers" for the ea 81, just go to an exhaust or performance shop and they should be able to look it up in a catalog, i did and i bought some, didnt notice any real gains it did seam like the powerband had changed minutly but maybe i was dreaming,

Price however was about 250ish and i dont think it was worth it, up to you tho

I have heard that before. I suppose its a bit of a waste o cash to fit a supposed enhancement that doesn't enhance anything. Good call. Ta

That's odd.
Did you upgrade the whole system or just the header pipe?

If I can grab a cheapy ea82 header set then I'd put em in. Always worth a try if it doesn't cost the earth.

Bought the headers brand new and had them fitted with a 2" pipe with a hot dog and straight through muffler with a 3" stainless tip, deffo flowed well but maybe i didnt have enought back pressure hense the lack of noticable power gain

A 2" system should haven't had any adverse effect on back pressure, as long as you don't go bigger than 2.25" you should be fine.
