L Series Turbo data sheets RTA NSW !!

Post by steptoe » Wed Mar 14, 2007 1:02 pm

A mate has just got his data sheets folders in order to do Blue Slip inspections for rego.

Naturally, I flick thru to Subaru. The GLAT is known as GLTA actually

Interesting Note:

"vehicle is classified as a multipurpose passenger car for compliance plate approval. therefore it does not need to comply with all passenger car ADR's "

And it looks that as it is complianced as a turbo and the data sheets specify rear brakes as power DRUM, I could steal the rear discs for my Brumby and still be able to keep it registerable but may be unstoppable !! print error ?

also describes major options as "sunraysi" alloy type wheels . alloy ??

Hey Jono, what does it say about the 4wd wagon in terms of ADR compliancing? And was the above description for the L series wagon or the GLTA?

Cheers

the comments only apply to the GLTA. only comment on the wagons is that can only be registered as a taxi if the cloth seat fabric is treated so as no to absorb sweat !! that must be why taxis had vinyl seats, and we all thought it was so vomit would wipe off easily !! :(

looks like a GLTA and RX could have some adr loopholes ??
