Lovell or King Springs

Post by fredsub » Thu Feb 22, 2007 7:10 am

The price is much the same, we get many recommendations/people using the king springs on this forum, what about Lovells?
Been to a place that sells mostly Lovells and the package with install/alignments seems attractive...

Lovells tend to be a little stiffer than everything else. For that reason I like the ones I have in the front of the RX.

I have owned both. MUCH prefer the Kings. My lovells got creaky after a year and i could not get rid of it. I have heard of others that have had a similar problem with them.

I have been using kings for over 4 years now thats what i recomend.

My Kings squeaked for a few weeks after they were installed, but then became quiet. I suppose they were just bedding in or something. Had them now for five years on the Outback and am very happy with them.

I've never had Lovells, though I've got relatives who own an auto spare parts store and reckon that Lovells are a good spring. Lovells are made in Sydney I think.

Fredsub - you have PM.
