Hatchie... now with Vidler bar.

Post by SuBaRiNo » Sun Nov 26, 2006 11:47 am

Pulled in some favours on Saturday and Vidler did his usual magic and built me a custom tow bar for the hatch.... VERY happy with it.

LOL... belive me... i bought that attachment before we even made the bar... just need to pick up a pin for it today... It was more designed to pull out people than pull a trailor.

you better paint it:)

fingers crossed the welds on the chassis rails hold.... in the remote case they dont, we'll have to go to some more extreme measures, like removing as much of the ass end as possible so i can get up there for some decent welding access...

should be right, ill put a life time warranty on it for ya:)

I don't mind the bar being a bit lower... protects my exhaust.... and more importantly my rare Hatch back bumper.

The hatch already has an awesome departure angle, and having the towbar there won't really affect things as the approach angle is still smaller...

Well done Dave (aka Boss) and Jay. I have to see this in the flesh!

If they do not its some serious damage to someone/something and bye bye Hatchi - neither of which we want to see.
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

LOL... good way to find a bad thing about a GREAT thing Jaffa. I have full confidence in it... considering it appears about 5000 times stronger than the tie down point i have snatched people off in the past.

Anyone with concerns can get snatched out by someone else... no worries there.
