1982 sportswagon front windshield

Post by boca » Sat Jul 25, 2015 8:15 am

Hi Guys
I have a few subarus that I us as paddock bashers the one above is on a property that is some distance from me . I remove the front windscreen when I am there then put it back in with silicon which becomes a pain .
What I am going to do is fix my own frame to the front with a hinged flap that I can lower when I am there.
If any one who has the above shaped car could measure the top length bot length and height I would much appreciate
Regards Boca

Including the rubber seal, 112 top 142 bottom and 67 high (measured in the centre). Note that doesn't include the metalwork, only the front glass inside the rubber seal.
1989 Brumby - Shiny new red paint, stroked EJ20 phase 2 SOHC with Darton sleeves bored to EJ22, Wiseco high-compression pistons, Delta 2000 grind cams , EJ/XT6 5 stud with WRX 4/2 pots, 5-speed, 86 GTS seats and so much more.

Hi df
Just to check that measurement includes the rubber as I will be fixing directing into the outside of the metal frame. If it is to the rubber I will add 100mm for coverage

Yes, includes the rubber (I have a MY front glass with original rubber in the garage which I measured). You won't need much additional for the top and bottom, probably 50mm for the sides (25mm each side) - this will get you to the outer edge of the A-pillars.
