Brumby brake master cylinder leak

Post by David D » Tue Apr 22, 2014 8:56 pm

Hi all

I can see evidence of brake fluid leaking from the master cylinder in my 1987 Brumby. It's hard to see where it's coming from but it has been gathering around the join to the servo and running down. Not a large amount but don't wanna leave it too long.

Is there a common place for these to leak? And are seals still available (aftermarket or genuine)?

Cheers

David D

Replace the master cylinder - easiest way to do it.

Or have your old one reconditioned.

Just keep that brake fluid off your paint!

Are good used ones easy to find? I can't imagine what a new one would be worth if they're available.
