Hi All,
Have received a fiberglass canopy with the brumby I just bought and its in bad shape (then again so is the brumby). Have scraped the corroded top layer off and hit it with some fiberglass restorer so its actually white now instead of piss yellow. There are a few other problems that it has that I would like advice for including...
1. One of the side windows is cracked. Who/where do I get this replaced? Windscreen place, caravan place, where?
2. The edging around the base of the canopy has been cut through and generally f*#ked around with to the point that it will need to be replaced. Once again where would I get it from? And are there any tricks to putting it on?
3. There are some hairline cracks in the surface of the fiberglass in places, is there anything I can buy to fill these cracks or are they better left alone?
As you can see I know sod all about canopies but I am hoping that there is someone out there who does:). Thanks for any advice/help given.
Cheers,
Corax.
Fiberglass canopy repair
Yeah thats the one. Basically its a licenced paddock basher
but got it for 2 reasons.
1. Its always good to save a brumby.
2. Its a project for my father to do/ help me with. My mum passed away 6 months ago and he's still pretty lost, so hopefully this will give him something to concentrate on.
Cheers,
Dave.
