EA82 Part No's
Heya all,
I hate going to an auto parts store and ending up with the wrong parts for my (Petrol, Manual, Carby, 4wd 93 L series wagon with an EA82), the most common problem I am faced with is ending up with Liberty parts as the auto shops have a hard time finding a 93 L series.
If you are having the same probs then I can help a bit by listing part No's for the vehicle I have listed above in red.
The easy way to avoid wrong parts is ask for the parts by engine code eg: EA82 or even better if you write down your VIN (Vehicle ID No) and take that in to the auto parts store.
Ok the parts listed below in no particular order.

Alternator Bosch 50amp + 60amp http://www.autoelectricsdirect.com.au/i ... &cat_id=33
Feel Free to add to this list, if a decent parts list appears then I will convert all user entries to a PDF so it can be downloaded for printing out and kept in the glovebox.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

For those with mpfi EA82 the spark plugs to use a BCP6ES - if that is correct, emphasis is on the C - uses smaller 5/8" plug socket as the plain jane BP6ES uses larger 13/16" socket that can catch on the casting
Other part numbers for EA82
Bosch GH617 mpfi turbo dizzy cap 10/85 make date, 3/87 compliance date GLTA red
Bosch GH623 mpfi turbo spider 4/87 compliance Vortex EA82T dizzy cap
Bosch GH605 is a dizzy rotor
E84189 Eagle Performance Eliminator HT lead set for mpfi and turbo EA82, Spiders different - made to measure
HOSES
top radiator hose EA82 Mackay brand CH2603
bottom rad hose is Mackay brand CH2604
GASKETS
genuine sump gasket 1121AA001 - about same price as aftermarket supplier
MISC
Clutch throw out retainer clips on fork 30539AA000 CLIP-CCH SLEEVE
ENGINE SEALS
front oil seal ................806738070 cross ref 38x59x9 mm
oil pump shaft seal........ 806718090 cross ref 18x30x9mm

Another thing to add here would be torque settings ?? Given that if find self in here chasing part numbers you might also be needing torque specs on nuts and bolts to complete the job !
turbo to front exhaust pipe nuts 18-25 ft/lbs
turbo to dump pipe nuts 18-25 ft/lbs
cylinder heads exhaust port stud nuts 19-22 ft/lbs
water pump and viscous fan M6 nuts n bolts 6.7 - 7.7 ft/lbs
knock sensor 16-20 ft/lbs
spark plugs 13 - 17 ft/lbs
intake manifold bolts to head 13 - 16 ft/lbs
flywheel to crank bolts 51 - 55 ft/lbs + thread locker
clutch pressure to flywheel 9 - 12 ft/lbs + thread locker
timing belt tensioner to block 12.7 - 14.8 ft/lbs - not as tight as you woulda thought
crankcase torque - mild steel bolts into alloy casing , suspect not crankcase halves torque
M10 29 - 35 ft/lb
M8 17 - 20 ft/lb
M6 3.3 - 4.0 ft/lbs - getting into inch/lbs wrench terrritory !

What's the part number for them? Isn't the post for part numbers??steptoe wrote:Another thing to add here would be torque settings ??
Also would be nice Jonno if you could put your model of your car (like Wayneo has done in bold red), so others can refer to this post in the future.
