Question about windows rasing when locking car
I am the new owner of a 2008 Outback (Luxury Sports)!
I notice that when I lock the car, if the windows are down - they stay down, they do not automatically raise ... is this normal (it could very well be). My old Mazda from 1994 would automatically raise windows when I locked it (admittedly it was top of the line etc. etc.). Just checking that this feature (or lack of) is normal. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Nope. Won't do it. My VW passat closes them when I hold down the lock button and opens them when I hold down the unlock button.
Subarus don't do it though as far as I know. My 02 liberty doesn't do it.

if the Passat window does not drop a fraction as you open the door with window in fully ully up position you'd likely damage something? The BMW Mini has same if the window is to be in full closed position and door is opened or closed, Alex, does yours actually close windows if down more than needed to open and shut door when you lcok or car locks itself ?Alex wrote:Nope.
